WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The second annual Wilmington’s Got Talent fundraiser, which is a variety show, won’t be held until Nov. 16 at Thalian Hall, but Wilmington Central Rotary is already searching for aspiring performers interested in participating.
Hopefuls of all ages need to reside in New Hanover, Pender or Brunswick counties, and should be amateur performers. Those interested must also attend the show’s dress rehearsal, scheduled for Nov. 15.
If you’re interested in trying out, you need to email Jenna Curry at jenna.crr@gmail.com prior to Aug. 30.
Central Rotary is also currently accepting event sponsorships. If you’d like to learn more about supporting the event, contact Dana Cook at dana@juliasflorist.com or (910) 547-5154.
Last year’s show included 12 acts, and $7,000 was raised for a drug dog at the New New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.
The winner then was Kellie Thrift, for her version of Lady Gaga’s You and I.
