BRUNSWICK CO., NC (WECT) - School is almost back in session, and parents are trying to get their children ready. Here are the answers to some of their most frequently asked questions.
What day do students return?

What time do schools start and end classes?
Students are expected to be in school ready for class to begin at the following times:
Elementary Schools: 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Middle Schools: 8:10 a.m.-3:10 p.m.
High Schools: 7:50 a.m.-2:50 p.m.
Brunswick County Academy and Brunswick County Early College follow a different schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m.-3:20 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
When is open house?
Thursday, August 23
Elementary Schools: 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
Middle Schools: 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
High Schools: 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
How will I know what bus my child will ride and what time it will pick them up and drop them off?
Brunswick County Schools has a great tool to help parents identify their child's bus number and route times. To access the online tool, click here. Simply by entering a home address, parents can learn what school their children should attend and information about bus routes.
How can I make a change in my child's bus stop or what do I do if I have another transportation request?
Each year transportation officials use information from the first ten days of school to assess route designs and the capacity of the buses.
Change request forms are available at the school and online. It is very important to understand there will be no changes made to bus stops or other transportation change requests for the first ten days of school.
How much is lunch?
If your child qualifies for Reduced Price Meals, BREAKFAST is FREE.
