BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The 20th annual North Carolina Christmas Festival and Parade will take place in Leland Friday, Dec. 7 and 8, according to an event organizer.
Friday night, the festival will kick off at 7 p.m. in the North Brunswick Shopping Center with a street dance with the band Kickin’ Ace’s. Saturday, a parade will kick off on Village Road at 10 a.m., where traffic will be blocked off an hour beforehand.
The parade will end at the festival location, where there will be free entertainment and children’s games. There will also be area crafters and food booths, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance.
The parade’s marshal is Chucky Brown, who is a former NBA player and current scout for the New Orleans Hornets.
