GUILTY: Man to spend a decade in jail for sex offense with a child

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A man from Wilmington pleaded guilty in Brunswick Superior Court last week to sexual assault charges.

According to the District Attorney's Office, Jason Boyd Frick, 31, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted first degree sex offense with a child and one count of indecent liberties with a child.

Authorities say the incidents occurred with a six-year-old and a four-year-old girl in August 2011.

Frick will spend at least ten years in jail, will be required to complete a sex offender treatment in prison and register as a sex offender for 30 years after he is released.
