BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Dosher Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a drive-through drug and medication collection on Thursday, Aug. 30, according to a news release.

The collection, called Operation Medicine Cabinet, aims to allow residents in Brunswick County to safely dispose of medications that are expired or not wanted.

The hospital will also be collecting pet medications and used hypodermic needles.

Drugs should be properly labeled, but personal information like names and address, should be removed or marked out.

The hospital is located at 924 N. Howe Street in Southport.
