First Alert Weather Team to program your weather radio for free

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – It's national severe weather awareness week, and the First Alert Weather Team wants to help people in the area prepare ahead of the storm.

The First Alert Weather Team will be at the Walgreens on Grandiflora Drive in Leland Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. to program weather radios for free.

The First Alert Weather Team always stresses the need for a NOAA Weather Radio to stay alert for any kind of weather. And we're making sure your radio is programmed correctly.

Don't have a NOAA Weather Radio? No problem. Midland All-Hazards NOAA Weather Radios will be on hand for purchase from Walgreens. After you purchase your radio, stop by our programming station before you head out the door, and you're all set for whatever weather comes your way.

Be sure to keep an eye out for more Weather Radio Wednesdays later in the spring.
