Rabies clinic to be held at several locations in Brunswick Co.

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Animal Protective Services in Brunswick County is hosting a rabies clinic this weekend at several locations.

According to officials, the clinic will take place Saturday, April 20. The cost is $6.

Locations and times are as follows:

  • Brunswick Animal Hospital, Supply - 8 am - Noon
  • Brunswick Forest Vet. Hospital, Leland - 8 am - Noon
  • Capeside Animal Hospital, Leland - 8 am – Noon
  • Four Paws Animal Hospital, Southport - 8 am - Noon
  • Leland Veterinarian Hospital, Leland - 8 am – 1 pm
  • Oak Island Animal Hospital, Oak Island - 8 am – Noon
  • Seaside Animal Care – Calabash - 8 am – Noon
  • Animal Shelter, Supply - 9 am – Noon
    (1 yr vaccines only)

According to officials, the clinic will take place Saturday, April 20. The cost is $6.

New Hope Clinic raising money for uninsured, low income residents

BRUNSWICK COUNTY (WECT) – The New Hope Clinic is hosting a benefit lunch/dinner at P.T.’s Grille in Leland. A portion of today’s sales will be donated to the clinic.

New Hope Clinic is volunteer driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides free medical and dental care, medications and diagnostic services to uninsured, low income residents of Brunswick County, North Carolina.

Search for four legged family member

ROCKY POINT,NC (WECT)- A woman in Rocky Point is doing everything she can to find her missing dog "Homer."

Homer was last seen in the Shaw Highway/Highway 210 area of Rocky Point.

"There have been numerous sightings in the area and two trail cam photos taken of him since he went missing 1/1/13. He was wearing a black collar, with ID and rabies tags, and he is microchipped," said Susan Walsh, Homer's owner.

Surprise proposal caught on cam

WHITEVILLE, NC (WECT) – One lucky woman in Whiteville recently got the surprise of her life…and it was all caught on camera.

Kat Newton’s boyfriend, Kyle, orchestrated an elaborate surprise proposal at Collier’s Jewelers.

She hosts a show called Brunswick Biz for ATMC and thought an interview with a jeweler at the business was just part of the job. Instead, her fiancé showed up on one knee to surprise her.
