BRUNSWICK, NC (WECT) - Two suspects wanted by the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office who were reportedly involved in a shooting that injured one man have been captured in Lousiana by authorities with the U.S. Marshal, according to a press release from Brunswick officials.
A third suspect turned himself into police Saturday afternoon.
On July 26, deputies responded to 593 Makatoka Road after receiving a call that someone had been shot. When they arrived at the scene they found Bryan Tyrone Johnson lying in a field, he had been shot. Johnson was taken to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
WECT's Ashlea Kosikowski spoke to Johnson on the phone. He said he was shot once and the bullet went through both of his legs. He is having a difficult time recovering. He said the shooting was the result of a fight over a woman.
At this time, the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men, considered armed and dangerous.
Deontray Tremel Bryant, 24, of Ash, NC and Mickey Alonzo Bryant, 45, of Shallotte, NC, were captured Wednesday.
Dwight Powell, Jr., turned himself into officers Saturday. He was charged with accessory after the fact and assault inflicting serious injury. His bond was set at $20,000.
