BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT)- A student at North Brunswick High School has organized a walk to benefit Crohn's Disease. Justin Brown, a senior, is hosting the Crohn's Disease Awareness/Research Walk Saturday, November 18th as part of his senior project.
Brown says, "As part of my senior project, I wanted to raise awareness of this painful and deadly disease. So many people live with this disease daily. This is a disease that many physicians don't even understand the cause or how to treat."
The event will take place at the track of North Brunswick High School in Leland from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Beverages will be provided with any donation given. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a raffle for other items.
Crohn's Disease affects as many as 700,000 Americans.
