Several woods fires contained in Brunswick Co.
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The hot, dry weather is a good reminder that woods fires continue to be a problem in the region.
The fires in Bladen and Pender Counties are mostly contained, but smoke remains an issue.
According to Scott Garner with Emergency Management in Brunswick County, five fires are burning in that area. Garner said the fires, located in Ash, Winnabow and Longwood, are all 100% contained.
The ‘X' marks the location of the fires in the picture above.
