BRUNSWICK/NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Officials from the
Brunswick and New Hanover County Sheriff's offices launched a new mobile app
Monday that allows more communication with the community.
The free app, available for iPhone and Android, is called MobilePatrol. Users have
several options available after selecting the agency.
You can submit a tip to law enforcement agents, view who's
currently in jail, or get notifications when the status of an offender changes.
"The most beneficial and significant feature of this app is
that it lets us get important information to the citizens quickly and
accurately," said Sheriff McMahon.
Information about Amber Alerts and weather warnings can also
be pushed straight to your phone. The app also includes news, most-wanted
criminals, the facility location, the sheriff's office directory and more.
