LELAND (WECT) - Keilin Rayner knows where he'll play collegiate football next year. He's just not telling anyone, yet.
The 6-foot-3-inch, 215 pound North Brunswick High School linebacker has garnered the attention of several Division I schools. Recently, Rayner narrowed his list of preferred destinations to two: Duke and East Carolina.
Rayner visited Duke, Jan. 20 and said he was in Cameron Indoor Stadium for the Florida State upset of the Blue Devils in ACC men's basketball action. "I wish they won," he said and laughed.
Rayner's coach at North Brunswick, Garry Bishop, played on the ECU football team for three years, graduating in 1983. Rayner made the trek to Greenville, Jan. 13.
WECT Sports' John Smist met with Rayner and Bishop to chat about the recruiting process. The segment will air Tuesday. Rayner said he'll make his decision Wednesday, which is the national signing day.
